I taught myself masonry by patching brick and fixing block walls, then learned the rest on job sites working next to experienced masons. In 2023 I started K&L Chula Vista Concrete & Masonry as a masonry contractor here in Chula Vista. We're best known for repointing, where we rake out worn mortar and pack in fresh, along with repairs and new walls.
Most people call because something looks off, like a crack in a block wall or mortar sanding out of a chimney, and they want to know what it means before they decide anything. I come out to every job myself, show you what I'm seeing and explain why it happened. I'll ask you questions too, like when you first noticed it, because that tells me a lot.
I'd rather you understand your own house than sell you a quick job. Some things I can't know until a wall is opened up, and I'll tell you that plainly instead of guessing.
